One of our favorite female musicians of all time is Polly Jean Harvey. We not only love her albums, but also her fantastic sense of style, always very feminine but in a strong assertive and independent way. She has a small frame, but a big mouth and booming voice. She is a feminist icon comfortable in heels and catsuits. PJ takes a keen interest in the world around her. "I do take enormous interest in what's going on. I try to see whatever I can, whenever I can. " she once said. Brought up in the country side, she is not quite an uncritical country girl. "I think a lot of people have an idealistic view - if you grow up in the country, there can't possibly be anything wrong with you." At Miista we like to aspire to be the PJ Harvey of shoes: fresh, sexy, visceral, feminine, strong, real and innovative with an element of shock. Imperfect ex country girls now living in the city.
