Sometimes a blog comes along that speaks to your very essence. Zana Bayne of GARBAGE DRESS is one of the raddest chicks in town and we at Miista HQ cannot get enough of her blog, her leather shop, her outfit posts, her lookbooks...Brooklyn's own female jack of all fashion trades, Zana's impeccable taste is something to watch for. James St James, of club kid infamy, writes on personal style: "Remember, you must be eye-catching but simple. If you and your "look" can be reduced to a simple caricature and not lose any essential qualities, you've got yourself a hit. Think Carmen Miranda. Jessica Rabbit. The band members of Poison." Zana Bayne has got herself a hit. Her trademark black mop-top haircut, her penchant for monochromatic dressing and her to die for collection of leather harnesses makes her a hard person to miss -- and you really should be paying attention! She contributes to the Berlin based magazine Lurve, writes a highly addicting personal style blog and handcrafts gorgeous leather harnesses which are worn by the likes of Gaga herself. Her online shop will open up again in December, just in time to get one of these handmade beauts under the tree! After months of perusing her blog daily, we knew we had to send her some shoes. Zana is the epitome of a MIISTA: irreverent, inventive and positively oozing of edgy elegance. [caption id="attachment_4292" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="Zana wearing the ANDEE boot"][/caption] "The psychic minds at Miista Shoes somehow knew that I could use a little pick-me-up in the form of a 4.5" towering heel, and were so kind to offer me a pair to stomp around in! I could tell from the photos that the "Andee" boots had the perfect proportion of platform-to-heel ratio, providing height, stability, and comfort. There's something about wearing a really fucking tall pair of mean looking boots that will always make my day better!"
