Style Heroine

She debuted on the Hollywood scene at the age of 3, and gained worldwide critical acclaim by the age of 12. Kirsten Dunst is the story of a child star gone terribly right. Kirsten is an American model and actress, she's starred alongside Hollywood heavy hitters like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Jim Carey, worked under Woody Allen and Lars von Trier, dated Jake Gyllenhaal, been nominated for a slew of prestigious awards and apparently she can sing too. The girl has got it all. Our favorite film of hers has to be the aesthetic masterpiece Virgin Suicides, Sophia Coppola's work of pure beauty and teenage angst. Kirsten plays the perfectly ethereal, mysterious Lux, a pretty, haunting girl trapped in the malaise of her parents' home. Her performance led to Coppola tapping Kirsten for her next film Marie Antoinette, and once again Kiki killed it. Her characters have always been knowing, the younger ones expertly precocious, hinting at the character under the character. In Interview with a Vampire she plays a woman trapped in a girl's body, a part that fit like a glove. There is something about her presentation, something that suggests she's seen it all before. A quiet, polite boredom, but not without enthusiasm. By all accounts Kirsten is an old soul, and it seems she's just as cool outside the films as she is within.
