Miista launches NYC Concept Pop-Up Store with The Shacks
After months of secretive arrangements and intensive planning, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever concept pop-up store in New York to launch our AW19 collection.
AW19 Loading… is a self-aware collection designed to re-engage and reconcile natural materials with technology, in appreciation of collaboration, creativity and craftsmanship.
After guests had the opportunity to try on our AW19 collection, we had an in-house performance from the band The Shacks for our guests to enjoy.
We spoke with Max Shrager, Shannon Wise and Ben Borchers of The Shacks just before the show to learn more about the NYC band:
What does your band name mean?
How did you guys meet?
If you didn't become a musician what you'll be doing right now?
Who are your biggest creative influences?
What is your songwriting process like?
A nostalgic memory from NYC?
For the whole month of September, we will be hosting a pop-up that will be presenting weekly events that feature local artists, musicians and craftswomen.
For our AW19 collection we worked with our crafts(wo)men to incorporate high tech fabrics into sophisticated but wearable designs. The store is inspired by innovators and our makers, who work with their own bare hands. Our customers will be surrounded not only by our newest collection but also by authentic shoemaking tools and video projections.
The concept store is meant to personalise the digital experience by making shoe shopping more convenient, helping women find the right fit. The store will have the best styles from our AW19 collection to try on. You will be able to purchase them at the space and they will be sent to you for 48-hour delivery.
Our whole collection in the store will be curated by the Miista team itself and it will run from the 5th of September until the 6th of October. Opening times will be from 11am to 8pm. We will be offering pop-up customers a 15% discount and free shipping.
